This Ghibi SS was completed in June of 1972 before being sold new to legendary baseball player Bo Belinsky famously known as, “The Playboy Pitcher.” Ownership of the Maserati passed to his ex-wife Jane Weyerhaeuser Belinsky following the 1980 divorce. Subsequently she sold the car through Alfa Romeo of Tacoma, Washington, to Gary Snyder in December of 1980. Mr. Synder maintained possession of the vehicle for 36 years. During his ownership, Mr. Snyder spent upwards of $50k+ servicing and maintaining the vehicle. Between the years of 2012 - 2016 the Maserati would undergo a complete mechanical overhaul including a rebuild of the 4.9-liter V8 to factory specs.
Finished in black with black leather upholstery additional equipment includes an upgraded braking system, air conditioning, and a Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio with Voxson 8-track. Historic documentation includes sales invoices, repair orders, and period correct shop manuals. Recent service covers fluid exchange, tune-up, air conditioning repairs, various hose replacements, and additional upkeep. This Ghibli is ready for any spirited drive or concours field.
