The 400ci V8 has been modified with a 0.030″ overbore, forged pistons, H-beam connecting rods, ported cylinder heads, Inconel valves, a roller valve train, and a Butler Performance turbo camshaft as well as a 98/88 turbocharger, a Snow Performance water injection kit, programmable Holley Super Sniper electronic fuel injection, an air-to-air intercooler, a wastegate and TiAL blow-off valve, and a four-row radiator. Other additions include installation of a heavy-duty alternator, MSD ignition components, fuel tank, and pump replacements. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed 4L60E automatic transmission, a custom driveshaft, and a ten-bolt rear case with 3.42:1 gears. Further updates include dual transmission coolers, boxed rear control arms, traction bars, and heavy-duty sway bars.
