Description

Just Arrived! This 1965 Ford Mustang fastback underwent Shelby-inspired modifications while with a previous owner, among them a repaint in white with blue stripes along with installation of a replacement 302ci V8 and five-speed Tremec manual transmission. Additional equipment includes an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, front disc brakes, a fiberglass hood, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and 15″ Torq Thrust wheels.

The car is said to feature a fiberglass hood, and it was repainted in white with blue racing stripes and rocker graphics under previous ownership. Details include a hood scoop and hold-down pins, louvered rear quarter vents, and a GT350-style front valance.

Gray 15″ American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Traction T/A tires. The unassisted braking system features discs up front.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl along with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a push-button AM/FM radio and a wood-rimmed steering wheel.

Main instrumentation consists of a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level, while a Stewart Warner tachometer and oil pressure gauge are mounted in a pod over the center dash. The five-digit odometer shows 600 miles, with the actual total unknown. The coolant temperature gauge is inoperable.

The 302ci V8 replaces the stock 200ci inline-six and features a four-barrel Edelbrock carburetor, tube headers, a dual exhaust system, Cobra-branded valve covers, and a K&N air cleaner. An export brace and a Monte Carlo bar span the engine bay.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a replacement five-speed Tremec manual transmission. The underbody is said to have been coated with rust inhibitor under previous ownership. The car wears a reproduction door tag and comes with New York registration, as the state does not issue titles for vehicles of its age.
