Description

High Octane Classics is proud to offer this 1970 Plymouth Road Runner coupe which was completely restored front to back, at which time it was fitted with a 440ci V8 linked with a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission and equipped with an Edelbrock intake manifold, three two-barrel carburetors, MSD ignition components, and exhaust headers. The car is finished in purple over black vinyl upholstery and features black hood striping, Road Runner and 440+6 graphics, a rear wing, power steering, power front disc brakes, Rallye-style 15” wheels, a digital stereo, a Champion aluminum radiator, and a dual exhaust system with muffler-bypass valves. The front ball joints, rear brakes, and tires were replaced. The car left the factory finished in Sassy Grass Green (FJ6) and was repainted in purple under prior ownership. Details include black hood striping, hood pins, Road Runner and 440+6 graphics, a rear wing, simulated quarter-panel scoops, pop-out rear windows, chrome bumpers, and polished dual exhaust outlets. The interior features black vinyl upholstery with gray piping covering the high-back front bucket seats and matching rear bench and door panels. Additional appointments include a remote-adjustable driver-side exterior mirror, a digital stereo, a heater, and a center console with woodgrain trim. The replacement 440ci V8 was reportedly sourced from a 1968, rebuilt, and installed. The engine features a “Coyote Duster” air-cleaner assembly, an Edelbrock intake manifold, three two-barrel carburetors, MSD ignition components, Mopar Performance finned valve covers, a Champion aluminum radiator, and long-tube exhaust headers.
